Goodbye Tirana, Hello Sofia

My last image in Tirana, until next time!

My last day in Albania, the photo was taken on the way to the bus terminal. About six hours to Skopje, Northern Macedonia, and a sleepless night in the bus station there with the other homeless.

I got the 7 a.m. bus (five hours and a couple of immigration stops) to Sofia, Bulgaria, where I found my room atop an eight-story walkup, dumped my stuff and crashed for the next 12 hours. I booked a month here and looking forward to it.

I just completed my first “A Memoirist’s Journey” newsletter post today in my new room in Sofia. It will then appear twice monthly on Mondays and is available to subscribers who can sign up on this website, realontheroad.com.

Edition 2 of “AMJ” will post on April 17.

Until then, my friends, take care and travel well.
